WBFF FOX45/WBFF 45.2/WNUV CW54 is looking for an exceptional Chief Engineer who has strong broadcast and IT experience, with proven leadership, management and organizational skills. Job Responsibilities: -Set and maintain technical and operational standards and provide a high quality of service. -Collaborate with other departments to initiate product development projects, establish project priorities, schedules, and budget parameters, and integrate technical solutions. - Oversee the day to day engineering support and operations of our multiple station, multi platform, high definition facility -Identify solution capability requirements; develop solutions and capabilities that conform fully to these requirements. -Monitor and maintain high employee satisfaction and morale. -Develop and implement departmental planned short and long term goals and objectives. -Recommend project budgets, schedules and conformance standards. -Handle administrative details, including preparing budgets, workload planning and status reports, instructing staff on policies/procedures; responsible for managerial functions, to include hiring, performance management, training, etc. Requirements: - Working, hands on, knowledge of high definition technologies, ENG/SNG maintenance and operations, Avid news, editing and graphics, HD studio and field production technical support, Master Control operations, and the ability to execute television transmitter maintenance for two high power UHF transmitters and microwave equipment. - Must have a working knowledge of IT infrastructure as it pertains to the implementation of new systems to support station operations. - Minimum of 5 years experience overseeing broadcast engineering and technical operations at a major market television station are required. - In-depth knowledge of complex file-based systems and work flows. Familiarity with FCC rules and ATSC/8VSB standards is necessary. SBE CBTE certification or equivalent is a plus. - Excellent communication skills are required as this person will be required to work closely with all departments.
