Account Executive
CBS 2/Fox 28 have immediate openings for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to join our local sales team. The position requires the ability to grow revenue from an existing account list as well as the desire to generate new business.
Description
- Responsible for generating revenue for the station
- Retain current business and develop new business
- Sell commercial advertising time and other station products to local advertisers and/or advertising agencies
- Contact local advertising agencies and direct advertisers
- Act as a liaison between the station and the advertising community
- Make sales presentations to all classifications of advertisers to obtain orders for
advertising time and use of commercial production facilities
- Develop and maintain new and existing business
- Attain budgeted revenue goals through effective solicitations, promotions and service
- Attract and close advertisers to sell products and services via spot TV
- Assist in the collection of past due accounts
Qualifications
- Two to three years of outside sales experience, media sales experience preferred
- Strong written and oral communication, mathematical, planning and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated
- Professional appearance a must
